VA Beach Sunrise, Aug. 2017. While most were sleeping.
I went on a guided tour of Orioles Park at Camden Yards with coworkers. It was very nice and you definitely see a different perspective. Here are a few pics of the tour.

On June 2 we visited Nassau, Bahamas for about four days. We really enjoyed ourselves and for me it was a great canvas for creating beautiful images. Once there we were fortunate enough to enjoy the Bahamas Labor Day celebration on June 3. Here is a link to those images.

And a link to downtown Nassau and Paradise Island. I really like this image taken at the Atlantis Resort. Anyone that's been there will recognize this.

I'm not particularly fond of the fall because I know winter is right around the corner. However, where photography is concerned it's a gorgeous time of year. We visited friends in Johnson City, TN and timed the colors of the fall foliage just right. In the past we were too early or too late but not this time. The colors were breath takingly beautiful.
We traveled to Elizabethon, TN to photograph what's known as The Covered Bridge. The bridge was built in 1882 over the Doe River. I created a painterly look of the image using Photoshop and Topaz Impression. Here's a before and after pic of the bridge.

We also visited Watauga Lake, TN. I felt as though mother nature smiled on us that day and we were able to capture beautiful fall images of Watauga Lake and the surrounding mountains in eastern Tennessee. I created a panoramic photo that combines 9 images.

On Sunday, Denise and I were riding the bike trail that crosses the Wilson Bridge into VA from the National Harbor. As usual while riding I had my camera with me. My goal on this trip was to find a good location to take night shots of the harbor. I have several shots where the locations are really good for night shots. While going through the images I came across this shot and really liked it. This is the "after" shot. I used Topaz filters in Photoshop to enhance this image. I hope you all like it.
Well there's nothing like DC in the spring. Beautiful cherry blossoms, spring blooms in the many DC parks, and beautiful smiling faces welcoming the warm sunshine.
This is the time of year I love doing portraits on location and just wandering around DC for interesting photo opportunities. I have ventured into shooting and printing panoramic images so I expect to do a lot of that this spring and summer. I have a sample of a panoramic shot I took in the Smoky Mountains of TN in the fall and another image of a creek in a wooded area in the mountains. Hope you enjoy and I'll be back with more posts throughout the spring and summer. Life is good!
